With the recent winter weather in our area, one word comes to mind… WOWZERS! I’m not completely convinced this is a real word but it is the one which most accurately describes my feeling when I walk outside.
The temperatures serve as a fantastic reminder to prepare for these conditions well in advance. In other words, while it’s still warm outside. Whether thinking of your home, rental or investment properties, having a plan of action in place is critical. Preparing early for the fears of winter can certainly make dealing with the surprises of the weather much more manageable.
Make a list…..
*WHAT MUST BE DONE TO SECURE PROPERTY FOR THE WINTER
*DATES FOR WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS ACCOMPLISHED
*EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDERS IN YOUR AREA (Electric company, water company, tree removal, plumber, heating & air repair, snow removal, etc) Keep this list updated throughout the year. There’s nothing worse than frantically searching for assistance.
With all this done in advance…… you can sit around the fire and enjoy the warm & cozy indoors.
