A little sunshine goes a long way!

Summer is just around the corner. After this dreadful winter, I am ready. Hard to believe that just a few days ago the Branson area was blanketed with snow. With the warmer days, the Real Estate market in the Tri-Lakes … Continue reading

Brrrr………… Welcome to the Polar Vortex!

Another SNOWFLAKEWith the recent winter weather in our area, one word comes to mind… WOWZERS! I’m not completely convinced this is a real word but it is the one which most accurately describes my feeling when I walk outside.

The temperatures serve as a fantastic reminder to prepare for these conditions well in advance.  In other words, while it’s still warm outside.  Whether thinking of your home, rental or investment properties, having a plan of action in place is critical.  Preparing early for the fears of winter can certainly make dealing with the surprises of the weather much more manageable.

Make a list…..

*WHAT MUST BE DONE TO SECURE PROPERTY FOR THE WINTER

*DATES FOR WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS ACCOMPLISHED

*EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDERS IN YOUR AREA (Electric company, water company, tree removal, plumber, heating & air repair, snow removal, etc) Keep this list updated throughout the year.  There’s nothing worse than frantically searching for assistance.

With all this done in advance…… you can sit around the fire and enjoy the warm & cozy indoors.

Stay warm & stay safe this winter….. hopefully we all thaw out before spring

Technology in Real Estate

House for Word Press  Wow, technology has certainly changed over the last 10 years.  I began my career in Real Estate in 2004.  Back when you knocked on doors, called “For Sale by Owners” and waited for clients to walk through the office door.  Let’s fast forward to 2013…… who would have thought that 90% of buyers would initiate their home search on the internet.  That’s right… 90%. Where they can search anonymously to their hearts content and not be bothered by those pesky sales people.  Although that search is never as anonymous as they believe.  I believe in earning clients for life.  Never pushing, always listening ….. by treating every client with the utmost courtesy, respect, and honesty.  Whether they are purchasing immediately or simply looking for 8 years before finding what they wanted (and yes, I have a few that have done just that) I have always given 110%.  The market changes, the technology changes, and as we all know the interest rates certainly change…. but my desire to help my clients, that has never changed.  Thank you to my past, present and future clients!
